London firm Field Fisher Waterhouse in merger talks with Osborne Clarke

London firm Field Fisher Waterhouse is actively seeking a merger partner, conducting early stage discussions with Osborne Clarke. If it goes ahead, a merger between the two firms would create a firm with combined revenues of close to £200 million. Field Fisher recorded revenues of £97.5 million in 2011-12, while average profit per equity partner (PEP) came in at £504,000, and Osborne Clarke saw revenues of £97.7 million and PEP of £406,000. Field Fisher Waterhouse declined to comment on the specifics of negotiations at this early stage, saying merely: “It is well known that merger is on Field Fisher Waterhouse’s agenda as potentially one way of achieving our ambitious growth plans and strategic objectives”.
