Reed Smith formalises alliance with Greek firm

US firm Reed Smith has formalised its alliance with Athens law firm Papapolitis & Papapolitis in anticipation of large projects and transactions resulting from the Greece's economic crisis and structural reforms. The move strengthens Reed Smith’s presence in Greece, adding a formal presence in Athens to its office in Piraeus, which opened in 2007 and specialises in shipping, life sciences, commercial disputes and corporate matters. "With this new alliance we have an even stronger platform in the Greek legal market and an ability to deal with even larger and more complex projects serving our clients' growing needs," said John Reece, Reed Smith's Greek managing partner.
