Bingham McCutchen hires corporate partner in Tokyo

Bingham McCutchen has boosted its corporate practice in Japan with the hire of partner Steve Lewis in Tokyo.   Lewis was the managing partner of Herbert Smith Freehills’ Tokyo office for 10 years, and specialises in M&A, investments and energy-related matters across several industry sectors in Japan.   “The addition of Steve brings strength and experience in emerging markets and will allow us to better serve our clients in Asia, the U.S. and Europe,” said Hideyuki Sakai, Bingham’s managing partner of the Tokyo office. “His insight into the marketplace will benefit not only our Japanese clients, but also those U.S. and European companies that conduct business in Asia."
