Energy M&A Lawyer Michael S. Shenberg Joins White & Case

Global law firm White & Case LLP today announced the arrival of partner Michael S. Shenberg in its Mergers and Acquisitions Practice in New York. A recognized leader in his field, Shenberg will focus on energy M&A transactions for the Firm. "M&A activity in the energy sector has changed significantly in terms of volume and complexity," said Arthur A. Scavone, White & Case partner and global co-head of its Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance Practice. "Mike brings the type of creativity and resourcefulness that new energy deals require to get done, and we are very excited to have him join our team." Shenberg is a transactional attorney concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, finance and corporate and commercial law matters in the energy sector. He has represented financial and strategic investors in numerous transactions involving the purchase or sale of power plants, including large portfolios, single-asset deals and joint ventures. Additionally, he counsels clients in a variety of project, acquisition and other financing matters in the sector. Shenberg was previously the head of the Energy and Project Finance Group at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, where he worked on such deals as Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.'s and Texas Pacific Group's acquisition of TXU Corp. and Texas Genco and Orion Power's sale to Reliant Energy.
