Salary sparring continues in the City

Two leading City firms have reversed their earlier decisions to freeze pay. Olswang has upped its NQ salaries to £63,500 despite earlier announcing it was not going to increase the rate. Herbert Smith has also repealed its earlier announcement by increasing its first-year trainee salaries by 4% to £37,500 and second-year trainee pay by 6% to £42,500.
