Trowers pay freeze hits fee-earners and staff

August 15, 2016 As a result of market uncertainty following Britain’s decision to leave the EU, Trowers & Hamlins has frozen pay for associates and business services staff. Senior partner Jennie Gubbins announced the decision via email to staff and fee-earners. Salaried partners at Trowers received their annual pay raises in March, and equity partners’ bonuses and drawings are expected to remain on schedule.

Brexit fallout continues to cause uncertainty in the legal market, with several firms announcing pay freezes, delays in pay review, and changes to remuneration systems.
