Cadwalader hires disputes co-head Baker from Bird & Bird

US firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft is expanding its London litigation and international arbitration team with the hire of Steven Baker from Bird & Bird. Cadwalader has been steadily expanding its City presence, increasing its headcount by 17% to 56 lawyers last year. Baker specializes in banking litigation, commercial litigation, international arbitration, and cross-border fraud. Prior to joining Bird & Bird in 2011, he headed the commercial dispute resolution department at Olswang.
