Simmons & Simmons retains 50% of qualifiers

Simmons & Simmons has reported 50 per cent retention of qualifying trainees this autumn, demonstrating inconsistent retention at the firm during recent rounds. The firm saw 17 of 24 trainees apply for newly-qualified roles. Of the 13 who received offers, 12 accepted a position at the firm. The firm blames Brexit uncertainty for its inconsistent retention rates over the past few rounds. In order to boost its retention efforts, the firm has recently launched a ‘Trainee Skills Academy’ for recruits.
