Slaughters retains 89% of trainees
Slaughter and May has reported autumn trainee retention of 89%, landing the firm in the middle of Magic Circle retention rates. The firm had 36 trainees, of which 32 accepted newly-qualified positions out of 34 who received offers.
Slaughters retained 95% of trainees in the spring, although retention this autumn remains aligned with retention in previous years. Linklaters and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer posted retention rates above 90% this autumn, while Clifford Chance and Allen & Overy retained less than 90% of trainees.
