Halford brings KWM team to Goodwin Procter

Shortly after Michael Halford’s departure from King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) was confirmed, the former KWM funds head recruited a four-partner team to join him at Goodwin Procter. Goodwin Procter had previously confirmed that the firm made offers to other KWM partners in recent weeks. The team is said to include legacy SJ Berwin partners Shawn D’Aguiar, Patrick Deasey, Ed Hall and Ajay Pathak. KWM has seen several high-profile exits since announcing the failure of the firm’s most recent bailout proposal from its Chinese verein.
