Dentons Australia merger finalized with Gadens
Dentons Australia has finalized its merger with Gadens, a 500-lawyer Australian firm. The combination was initially announced in November 2015, but since that time, three of Gadens’ offices have split off from the company rather than participating in the merger.
With the merger complete, Dentons has acquired new locations in Perth and Sydney, along with a location in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The offices excluded from the merger include Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide. Additionally, the Singapore location of Gadens backed out of the deal earlier this year.
According to Dentons global chair Joe Andrew, the merger will help Dentons to address client needs with an expanded presence in the region.
