Law Society calls for action on QLTT review
The Law Society is calling for the review of the rules governing foreign lawyers transferring to the UK to be hastened following guidance published by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) last week. The society is concerned that the rules could be perceived as anti-competitive and protectionist, and wants to ensure that the test complies with international and European obligations to recognise qualifications.
