Two Shearman private equity partners head to Goodwin Procter
Goodwin Procter has hired private equity partners Mark Soundy and Sarah Priestly from US firm Shearman & Sterling. Priestly headed up the tax practice at Shearman’s London location. The duo recently quit their positions at Shearman after the firm reorganized its tax practice in an effort to increase profitability. Priestly and Sounds will join Goodwin’s private equity group, which is led by Richard Lever, who joined the firm from King & Wood Mallesons. Upon joining Goodwin Procter, Lever established a private equity practice in the firm’s London office.
