Reed Smith set for more KWM hires
US firm Reed Smith has continued its recruitment efforts to hire talent from the struggling European offices of King & Wood Mallesons (KWM). The firm is in the midst of discussions with several KWM partners, including corporate partner Mark Sanders of KWM’s London office, Paris-based funds co-head Arnaud David, tax head Sylvie Vansteenkiste, as well as Marc Levy, who currently serves as head of EU, competition and regulatory matters for KWM’s European arm. Reed Smith is anticipated to end up with the most KWM employees leaving the struggling firm for new opportunities. Tamara Box, Reed Smith’s Europe and Middle East managing partner, said the firm will continue its discussions with KWM partners in Europe, as the firm sees the new hires as an opportunity to grow the firm in the region.
