O’Melveny & Myers hires KWM funds head Jonathan Blake

As partners continue to depart from the European arm of King & Wood Mallesons (KWM), funds head Jonathan Blake has been hired by US firm O’Melveny & Myers. At O’Melveny, Blake will specialize in investment funds, and will focus on advising institutional investors, along with private and public funds. According to O’Melveny investment funds head John Daghlian, Blake has played a significant role in shaping the private equity sector, and brings considerable experience to the firm. KWM continues to navigate the future of its EUME arm, with managing partner Tim Bednall announcing earlier in the week that the firm will no longer be able to pay salaries to staff members.
