Dechert hires disputes partner Stephen Surgeoner from Clifford Chance

Dechert has hired Stephen Surgeoner, a disputes partner from Clifford Chance. Surgeoner will be based in Dechert’s London office, which has been steadily growing in the past year with several hires from other firms. Recent hires include Ross Allardice of White & Case, John Markland from Kirkland & Ellis, and Philip Butler and David Miles of DLA Piper. Surgeoner spent 26 years at Clifford Chance, focusing on commercial litigation matters including UK disputes and arbitrations for banks, energy and media companies.
