Recently merged CMS nabs AI acquisition deal
CMS, which recently completed its three-way merger with Olswang and Nabarro, has advised on the acquisition of artificial intelligence provider RAVN by US document management company iManage. Former Olswang technology head Anthony Waller led the CMS team that advised RAVN on the sale.
Siddesh Bale and James Cross of Reed Smith advised iManage, which said the deal will change how companies process key data from emails and other documents.
RAVN’s artificial intelligence system interprets and extracts unstructured data from documents and quickly creates a structured output. Law firms are increasingly implementing AI technologies, which have seen significant growth in the legal field during the past few years.
