Several firms announce appointments and hires in Asia

DLA Piper has announced a number of leadership changes throughout its offices in Asia. Shanghai-based corporate partner Qiang Li has been named co-regional managing partner for Asia, along with Hong Kong-based disputes partner Satpal Gobindpuri. The firm has also hired former Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom associate James Chang as a partner in the firm’s Beijing office. Meanwhile, MinterEllison has announced that Carla Deluca will join the firm’s Melbourne office as a partner. KPMG has hired Astrid Raetze from Baker McKenzie. Raetze served as global fintech head at Bakers, and was a partner at the firm for 13 years. In Shanghai, Zhu Shaobin has joined Morgan Lewis while Matthew Durham has joined Simmons & Simmons. In Hong Kong, Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom has hired Antony Dapiran, and Taylor Wessing has hired Dickson Ng from Latham & Watkins. In Singapore, Kunal Kapoor has been hired by Dentons Rodyk from Ashurst.
