Bird & Bird head of UK tax joins Osborne Clarke

Osborne Clarke has brought on Mathew Oliver, who joins the firm from Bird & Bird, where he served as the firm’s UK tax head. Prior to joining Bird & Bird as a partner in 2005, Oliver was an associate with Lovells, and previously worked at KPMG as a tax manager. During his tenure at Bird & Bird, Oliver focused on tax matters such as private equity, reorganizations, and M&A. He will join Osborne Clarke’s London office, where the firm also recently hired Simon Thomas of Macfarlanes, Andrew Chamberlain of DWF, and Tamara Quinn of BLP
