UK firms prepare for no-deal Brexit scenario

Many UK-based firms have begun to prepare for a no-deal Brexit scenario. Preparations include changing legal structures of offices based in the EU and reviewing contingency plans. Among the firms with extensive networks of offices in the EU are Linklaters, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Hogan Lovells, Herbert Smith Freehills, Clifford Chance, Allen & Very, and Eversheds Sutherland. According to A&O partner and Brexit initiative leader Daniel Shurman, the firm is analyzing its options in order to be prepared for the March 29 deadline. Structural changes would likely involve small adjustments, rather than a major overhaul.
