Cleary, Jones Day and Stikeman Elliott land roles in BHP Billiton deal
Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, Jones Day and Stikeman Elliott have taken leading roles in BHP Billiton's $38.6 billion unsolicited offer for Canada's Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc.
New York firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton is providing legal advice to BHP Billiton, while Potash is advised by US law firm Jones Day and Canadian firm Stikeman Elliott.
