High-powered diversity mentoring project launches in the US
The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity in the US is launching a new highly structured mentoring program with the aim of producing lawyers with strong leadership and networking skills who are committed to fostering diversity within their individual institutions "This concept is not new, but the group we have involved is different," said Roderick Palmore, general counsel of General Mills Inc. and the chairman of the council. "We've got the leadership of impactful organizations as well as law firm leaders. These are the people making up the faculty of the program." Segments of the program will be taught by Geoffrey Kelley, the General Counsel Coca-Cola Co, and the General Counsel of Macy's Inc, Dennis Broderick, among others.
