SNR Denton to review UK strategy in the face of falling profits

SNR Denton is conducting a review of its UK business strategy in the face of a huge drop in profits per equity partner. UK partners could see profits drop to as low as £200,000, which would represent 44 per cent drop from 2009-10, when it stood at £360,000. The firm’s new UK chief executive Matthew Jones will conduct a three month strategic review, and may take the shears to less profitable practice groups. Meanwhile, the firm has restructured its partnership, with a small number of partners asked to leave both before and after the merger between legacy Denton Wilde Sapte and US firm Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal in October.
