SNR Denton is facing difficult times in the wake of its transatlantic merger. The firm has reported an 8 per cent drop in revenue to £154.4million for the 2010/11 financial year, along with a 36% drop in profits per equity partner, from £360,000 to £232,000. To make matters worse, the faces a series of senior partner defections, with Michael Black leaving the firm for Reed Smith, Chris Borg heading for Norton Rose, Ian Roberts departing for Pinsent Masons and Rory McAlpine, head of advocacy, leaving for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
