Ashurst loses 8 partners since start of September

October 14, 2011 Roll on Friday points out that there is a steady depletion in the partner ranks over at Ashurst, with eight partners departing since the start of September.

Litigator Wilson Thorburn is headed for JP Morgan, where he becomes Head of Litigation for EMEA; litigator Michael Madden is off to Winston & Strawn; real estate funds partners David Evans and Samantha Lake Coghlan have moved to Goodwin Procter; construction partner Marc Hanson went to Berwin Leighton Paisner; employee incentives partner Barbara Allen went Stephenson Harwood; NY finance partner Alice Yurke moved to Jones Day; and real estate partner Simon Cookson departed for DLA Piper.

Over the last two years, according to the article, 42 partners have left the firm and 49 partners have been appointed, including 26 lateral hires. Any way you slice it these are significant turnover rates.
