Olswang halves trainee program

Olswang has announced that it has cut its graduate program in half because of decreased client demand. In 2014 and 2015 the firm will take on just 12 graduates, down from 24 in a normal year. The halved program only looks like good news when you consider that the 2013 training contract round was cancelled outright, apart from eight trainees that were deferred from 2012. And if the firm finds itself in demand of low-skilled legal work without enough trainees to complete it, it can always turn to Acculaw – the company that trains solicitors and seconds them to firms for practical legal experience - with whom it has established a relationship.
