Herbert Smith and friends see their share of M&A work plummet

January 2, 2012 Herbert Smith and its former European alliance partners Gleiss Lutz and Stibbe saw their share of the M&A market plummet in 2011, according to recently published data. The alliance dropped from third place to 27th place by market share for UK announced deals.

The total value of announced deals managed by the alliance fell by more than 80 per cent in 2011 compared to the previous year, from $64.4bn to $12.7bn.
