Salans finds a new alliance in Turkey

Salans is expanding into Turkey after making an alliance deal with local firm Balcioglu Selcuk Akman Keki. Salans has already been in Turkey for eight years, allied with former local partner Ozel & Ozel. The new partnership will be known as Balcioglu Selcuk Akman Keki, and its partnership will consist of two partners from Salans' existing Istanbul office – energy expert Selim Keki and real estate specialist Goksan Gurel – along corporate partners Barlas Balcioglu, Galip Selcuk and Ozgur Akman. The office will be rounded out with 29 associates. Salans global managing partner Dariusz Oleszczuk said: "We are very excited about expanding our position and ability to advise investors in Turkey and Turkish companies involved in international transactions. After eight years in this jurisdiction we have a well-developed sense of the opportunities in Turkey."
