McKenna Long & Aldridge merges with Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps

The merger between Atlanta-based firm McKenna Long & Aldridge and San Diego-based firm Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps has concluded, creating a 575-lawyer firm with 13 offices throughout the United States, five of which are in California. Merger fever has spread far and wide, with numerous firms contemplating and negotiating a range of alliances. Reports are circulating that Australian firm Allens Arthur Robinson is in talks with Magic Circle firm Linklaters, SNR Denton is contemplating a merger with leading French firm Salans, and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman is in discussions with Fulbright & Jaworski.
