Dewey & LeBoeuf loses six more partners

New York law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf has seen six more partners and one of counsel resign this week, bringing the number of partner departures this year to 46, out of the total partnership of 300. James R. Woods, a co-chairman of the firm’s global insurance industry practice, leaves the firm for Mayer Brown, while insurance litigator John M. Nonna leads his team to Patton Boggs, taking partners Larry P. Schiffer and Eridania Perez along with him. Also joining the partnership at Patton Boggs is Dewey of counsel Suman Chakraborty. Insurance bankruptcy partner Peter A. Ivanick is also jumping ship, heading for Hogan Lovells, while intellectual property partner Lawrence M. Sung, leaves the firm’s Washington office for a spot at Baker Hostetler.
