Manchester firm JMW posts 20% increase in revenue

Manchester law firm JMW has recorded a 20 per cent increase in revenue, up from £11m in 2010-11 to £13.2m in 2011-12. The firm did not disclose a profit figure, but said that profits were up by 35 per cent over the same period. The biggest gains came from the employment group, which grew by 229 per cent. The family law group also performed strongly, posting an increase of 69 per cent, while corporate recovery and commercial property & commercial litigation grew by 32 per cent and 14 per cent, respectively. JMW managing partner Bill Jones said: “JMW is an entrepreneurial law firm and the action we’ve taken to adapt to the changing legal landscape is the reason for our current success. “We have many different projects which have enabled us to perform considerably better than the market and we’re looking forward to meeting the challenges of the next year.”
