Former Amarchand tax head launches boutique firm in India

The former head of the tax practice at Amarchand Mangaldas, Aseem Chawla, has launched a new boutique law firm focussing on tax, business and corporate advisory work. The new firm is called MPC Legal and was co-founded by Chawla, Dipankar Vig and NV Raman. Vig was previously part of the legal team at chartered accountancy Mohinder Puri & Co, and Raman was a senior executive at several large public sector undertakings. The fledgeling firm has concluded a “best friend” and client referral agreement with chartered accountancy firm Mohinder Puri & Co.
