DAC Beachcroft expands at home and abroad

DAC Beachcroft is expanding at home and abroad, commencing a plan to hire 170 staff in the UK and laying out plans for growth in Asia and Latin America.  The firm will add 120 non-fee earning staff to its claims solutions group in Birmingham, taking the total office headcount to 440, and intends to recruit around 50 staff in Newcastle, including partner-led teams in health and insurance. The firm launched in Chile last month, and hopes to cement its presence in Columbia by merging with its Columbian alliance firm in the next year. Plans to launch in Hong Kong have been put on hold while DAC puts resources into its Singapore practice, which launched last May, and the firm is reportedly looking for alliance firms in Thailand and Indonesia.
