CMS offers deferral bonus for incoming trainees

CMS Cameron McKenna is offering a monetary incentive for incoming trainees who defer their start dates until February 2017, as the firm prepares for its planned merger with Olswang and Nabarro. The three firms have agreed to honour their current training contracts once the merger goes through. The deferral involves a six-month delay from trainees’ original start date of September 2017. In addition to a £10,000 incentive, CMS will also offer £5,000 towards course fees for trainees who take part in projects such as the CMS Corporate Social Responsibility initiative or other postgraduate qualification programmes. According to CMS managing partner Stephen Millar, the firm is working with trainees to offer a variety of opportunities throughout the qualification process.
