Gordian hires Michael Crosby of Orrick as GC

Investment firm Gordian Knot has hired finance partner Michael Crosby of Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, where he was the firm’s head of UK finance. He joins Gordian as general counsel, and replaces Sean Breslin, who left the position to move to River and Mercantile Group. Prior to joining Orrick in 2014, Crosby worked at the London office of Proskauer Rose, and held prior positions at Addleshaw Goddard, Clifford Chance, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and O’Melveny & Myers. Orrick has suffered a few exits recently, but is otherwise expanding its European arm, particularly with hires from King & Wood Mallesons.
