Former Olswang CEO Michael Burdon to exit ahead of merger

Michael Burdon, who previously served as interim CEO of Olswang, will be leaving the firm before its merger with CMS, reportedly due to client conflicts of interest. His interim position was taken over by IP partner Paul Stevens, who assumed the CEO role in May 2015. Burdon will be joining Simmons & Simmons’ London IP litigation practice, which is led by Rowan Freeland. The merger is scheduled to finalize in May 2017, with the new firm operating as CMS Cameron McKenna Olswang.
