Slaughter and May secures 5% stake in Luminance AI technology
Slaughter and May has secured a 5 per cent stake in AI technology Luminance, a company which recently claimed a valuation of $20m. The valuation followed a funding round supported by Invoke Capital and Talis Capital. Slaughters partners received a share of the firm’s stake in Luminance in return for their efforts in creating and developing the platform. A firm spokesperson said Slaughters is open about its investment in Luminance and its partners’ equity stake in the company. Several firms have engaged AI technology recently, including Bird & Bird, Linklaters, Allen & Overy, Baker McKenzie, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Clifford Chance.
