Kirkland hires Ropes & Gray lawyer in London

Kirkland & Ellis has hired Anand Damodaran from the London office of Ropes & Gray, where he was a partner in the firm’s private investment funds group. He spent five years at Ropes, where his practice focused on credit, private equity and real estate funds. Damodaran started his career at Clifford Chance and later spent five years at White & Case before joining Ropes. He is qualified to practice in the UK, New York and India. Last week, Ropes lost a five-partner investigations team to Kirkland, where the partners will join various global offices of the firm.
