Herbert Smith boosts Paris infrastructure practice with A&O hire
Herbert Smith has boosted its energy and infrastructure practice in Paris with the hire of partner Christophe Lefort, who was previously the general counsel at French infrastructure company Bouygues Travaux Publics. Paris energy and infrastructure practice head Stephane Brabant said: "His arrival will further enhance our ability to advise public and private clients on all areas of law involved in major infrastructure projects and other public works.” The firm adds Lefort after the loss of a three-partner litigation team in the Paris office, which left for Allen & Overy earlier this year. The departing partners were the then recently-appointed head of disputes for Continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Denis Chemla, arbitration partner Michael Young and litigation partner Erwan Poisson.
