Partner promotions announced throughout Asia and Australia
Several firms have recently announced promotions in Australia, including King & Wood Mallesons (KWM), Allens and Norton Rose Fulbright. KWM’s Australian offices saw 7 new partners promoted across the firm’s Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne locations. Allens has made up 6 new partners throughout its Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane offices. Norton Rose has promoted one new partner in Perth and one in Sydney, while Sparke Helmore Lawyers has made up two lawyers to the firm’s partnership. In China, Zhonglun W&D has promoted two lawyers to partner in its Beijing office, while Stephenson Harwood associated firm Wei Tu has brought on three partners from two shipping firms. Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe has made up Scott Peterman as a partner in the firm’s Hong Kong M&A and private equity group. CMS Dubai partner Jeremie Witt will relocate to the firm’s Singapore office to lead its infrastructure, construction and energy (ICE) disputes practice. In Seoul, Wonsuk Kang has left his post as counsel and head of South Korea division at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer to join Latham & Watkins as a partner.
