Fieldfisher hires Orrick corporate partner

Fieldfisher has hired Matthew Williams, who joins the firm from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. Upon joining Fieldfisher, Williams will work in the firm’s London and Birmingham offices as co-head of energy and natural resources. Williams served as co-head of Orrick’s energy practice in Europe, and specializes in corporate restructuring, M&A, project finance, M&A, and commodity trading matters. According to Fieldfisher co-head of energy and natural resources Dominic-Gurney Champion, the hire will help the firm to strengthen Fieldfisher’s capabilities in the UK.
