Pinsent Masons and Wragges freeze salaries for newly qualified lawyers
Pinsent Masons and Wragge & Co have announced the details of their associate slaries for 2011-12, with both firms freezing rates for newly-qualified lawyers in London. Newly qualified lawyers at the London office of Wragges will take home £58,000, while salaries for Birmingham-based newly qualified lawers will increase by £1,000 to £38,000. Meanwhile the salary for newly qualified lawyers at the London office of Pinsents also remains static at £58,000, while regional salaries for the same level have been frozen at £38,000 outside Scotland, and £36,000 in Scotland. Other firms that have frozen the newly qualified pay band include Herbert Smith, Ince & Co, Linklaters and Allen & Overy.
