Linklaters, Simmons, and Akin Gump kick off 2017 with new hires

Several firms have started the new year with new hires, including European hires for Linklaters and Simmons & Simmons, and UK hires for DLA Piper, Eversheds, and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. Addleshaw Goddard disputes partner Kambiz Larizadeh has left the firm to join Akin Gump’s London office. Carsten Loll of DLA Piper has left the firm to join Linklaters as a partner. He will be based in Frankfurt and Munich. Simmons has hired former DLA Piper litigation partner David Schreuders in the firm’s Amsterdam office. Eversheds has hired corporate partner Ian Moore, who previously served as managing director at Dhu, a Scottish sportswear company, and was a prior corporate partner at Norton Rose Fulbright. DLA Piper has bolstered its intellectual property (IP) practice with the hire of Leigh Martin, who founded Clarion Solicitors, and previously worked as a partner at DLA Piper from 2000 to 2004.
