Pillsbury set to open new office in Abu Dhabi
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman is set to open its first Middle Eastern office in Abu Dhabi, with plans to expand services offered to existing clients and take advantage of the energy and infrastructure boom in the region. Abu Dhabi is proving to be a popular location with international law firms, with Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, DLA Piper, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Hogan Lovells and Linklaters all having a base in the UAE capital. The new office will be led by partner David Cynamon, who has relocated from Washington DC to take up the role managing partner of the Abu Dhabi office. “We have long sought to establish an office in Abu Dhabi to further the growth our U.S. and London offices have helped us achieve in the region,” he said. “Abu Dhabi has become a critical crossroads for many of the clients and industries we serve.”
