Leading UK firms aim for more diversity in recruitment
A number of leading UK law firms have announced the intention to increase the number of universities they visit during recruitment rounds, in a bid to increase diversity in graduate recruitment. Linklaters, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Hogan Lovells and Bird & Bird are the latest crop of firms to announce the intention to visit a greater number of universities, fllowing the lead of Pinsent Masons, Slaughter and May and Berwin Leighton Paisner, all of which expanded the number of universities they targeted during the last recruitment round. Simmons & Simmons is the only firm within the top 20 UK firms to go against the trend, decreasing the number of universities it visits from 15 to 11 over the last two years.
