Merit list: law firms that offered jobs to 100% of summer associates

Above The Law has posted a list of firms that have offered jobs to 100 per cent of summer associates, readying themselves to start naming and shaming those firms that give lower-than-average offer rates. The article acknowledges that there are plenty of reasons why a firm’s offer rate might be below 100 per cent, including poor performance by the associate, office politics, discrimination. But the publication reserves special disdain for firms with offer rates suggesting that their recruitment process is irresponsible. The following offices offered jobs to 100 per cent of associates • Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld (Dallas) • Dechert (New York, Philadelphia) • Gibson Dunn & Crutcher (New York) • Goodwin Procter (D.C.) • Hughes Hubbard & Reed (New York) • Jones Day (Dallas) • K&L Gates (Boston, Chicago, D.C.) • Latham & Watkins (D.C., New York, Orange County, San Francisco) • O’Melveny & Myers (Newport Beach, New York) • Proskauer Rose (New York) • Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Silicon Valley) • Ropes & Gray (New York, San Francisco, Silicon Valley) • Schulte Roth & Zabel (New York) • Simpson Thacher & Bartlett (New York) • Vinson & Elkins (Dallas, New York) • Weil Gotshal & Manges (New York) • White & Case (Los Angeles) • Willkie Farr & Gallagher (New York) • Winston & Strawn (Los Angeles)
